nxtBasic is a fully documented cross compiler to compile basic code to lightning fast machine language tailored to the Commander X16. The language syntax is designed to be similar to QuickBasic and PowerBasic for DOS and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac.

nxtBasic takes advantage to everything the Commander X16 has to offer:

Developing and debugging

nxtBasic integrates seamlessly with the Commander X16 emulator and VSCode, to create a developmend suite that enables you to efficiently develop and debug your programs and games.
